Normal is worth celebrating in light of the barrage of negative experiences we have had. It's not lost on me that my constant harping about the dire state of air travel might seem like someone complaining about the thread count at a four-star hotel — but I see it more as spending what little money we have on things that matter, so when Air Canada and YUL ruin our experience, I can be found harping on about it.If there is an indication of aging, it is my body's inability to recover quickly from travel, which often feels like an athletic event punctuated by poor sleep. I have been home for four days and am only now able to think clearly. I haven't started moving my body yet — maybe I should have gone on a long run the very next morning after we arrived.
