We have gotten a lot of e-mails about this, so we will explain that the "tie" on the map above is Nebraska. Dan Osborn is running on a basically Democratic platform, but he is officially an independent, and has refused to say whether he will caucus with the Democrats or not. We're OK counting Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Angus King (I-ME) as "blue," because they actually do caucus with the Democrats. But not Osborn, until such time that he formally commits (which he would surely only do after the election, if he wins).
