Continuing On.

Monsoon season continues to be a good one this year here in Southern Arizona. This afternoon Earl and I headed down to the Sonoita area to intercept some storms that were rolling through. The lightning was impressive and I’m really happy with this shot. This photo was taken at the Las Cienegas Conservation Area Sonoita; it’s such a gorgeous area in nice weather and as storms pass through. Another storm chaser was set up in this particular spot; he mentioned he was hoping to catch a “widow maker” bolt and then Mother Nature gave us this. Absolutely beautiful. The other storm chaser’s girlfriend remained in their chase vehicle; Earl stays in the Jeep in these situations. It started raining pretty hard and I could see hail indicated on the radar, so I relocated us a little bit further ahead of the storm and grabbed a bunch of footage.
