Process psychosis 0 ▲ hey!howdy 1 hour ago · Tech · hide · 0 comments Creativity and output are more important than process. And that’s coming from someone whose entire living is based around the process of making things. I’ve noticed that in certain subsets of people both in my professional life and on the internet, there’s an almost religious adherence to perfect process. At a certain point it becomes a compulsion that actually hampers creation. We can’t become so focused on how to do things that we don’t actually do things. And this is as much an admission about myself. I recently have noticed myself pulled towards process compulsion (especially when stressed). There’s a large subset of productivity YouTube and ADHD YouTube that preys on the quest for the perfect solution; in a process, in a trick, in a habit, in a minor life tweak, or in an item you buy that will solve everything. You become someone who collects these processes like Pokémon, but you never actually put rubber to the road and make things. This isn’t to say you shouldn’t build things… No comments yet.
