Zachary and I are trading blog post titles. Zachary has written a blog post in response to the suggested title “What everyone should know about Australia”. I have written my post in response to the title “Why I wish people a happy day of the week”.For the last year or so, whenever I have been on a call with someone, or met up with someone I know, I have often said “Hello, happy [day of week].” On the day I am writing this, for example, I said “happy Thursday!” to people in a group chat I am in. I have done this in both professional and personal contexts and, in both, I often observe it brings a smile to people’s faces.The origin of this comes from something I started to do a while ago. When I would wake up, I would say “Good morning world, happy [day of week].” I said this to nobody in particular: it was addressed to the world itself.
