Hollow-face illusion

"Oblivion of the Waves" by Anton Smit, side on Looking into the hollow head from behind I've seen the hollow-face illusion plenty of times in textbooks. It's something else to come across it as a massive sculpture in woodland. For some reason I wasn't expecting it to work at this scale, outdoors, in resin and steel. But it does.
