I made an app to see if I could hypnotize myself

I’ve always been a bit curious about the idea of hypnosis, and every once in a while I’d revisit the topic. I never did really know how much of hypnosis is the real deal is how much is nonsense. I’ve tentatively concluded that the idea of an induced trance state is largely real, but the practice often lives in this liminal space between actual science and new age beliefs. Likewise, there are vast differences between clinical and stage hypnosis (I am not yet quite sure how much of stage hypnosis is the real deal).
