I’ve been toying around with pinhole photography of late, and picked up a Mia Mezzaluna 6x9 camera. The banner image is a 10 minute long exposure I took of myself. It was quite fun trying not to move for that long and I entered a weird sort of zen state. I was going to do that thing where you sit in different places but the time flew by and I fell asleep forgot to move. You can see how wide 45mm is on a 120 format, the picture rails above me are straight, I swear! It took quite a lot of lightening up in post, but there’s a decent amount of detail there. I really like how it has crunched down the garden, normally everything feels so big in these shots (I take loads of test shots from this window) but with this wide angle it’s like looking at a model. Look at how that window is bulging out. Such a fun effect. This is my living from where I was sat in the self portrait.
