Day 186: Monument Under Renovation

2026-08-11Hello!People from this area might be able to identify the specific historic park is being renovated, but I don't want to reveal it just yet until it's done. For now, I'm just using photography to document the progress and construction.The past few days have been dreary, with intermittent rain and a continuous layer of clouds. I wasn't expecting to get interesting light on this photowalk, but the sunlight hit at the right time and place to produce this golden hour view.I think I might come back to this location and photograph it every so often to see how the area has changed, as it's undergoing active construction and the new building (a visitor center?) looks exciting.Again, no post processing was used in this image; it is straight out of camera.
