Saw a clip featuring Sissi and I (a 2023 film)! a direct focus on an intimate and complex relationship (albeit fictionalized) between two women during the 19th century???? I must see this!!!! Went to read about the Empress Elisabeth of Austria (aka Sissi). Then went on to read about Irma Sztaray (Sissi's last lady-in-waiting, also the "I" referred to in Sissi and I). Ended up on the Wasp Waist page (considered as Sissi's hallmark), thinking about the lengths one goes through to achieve this extreme silhouette, to what end? On a whim, I want to try wearing a corset; the ones most accessible to me are not well-made, though. I'll keep looking.
