I always liked to play around with beta software builds in the early days of the web. Social media clients, blogging platforms, games, mobile apps. As the web, and my own workflow & preferences, "settled down" I stopped trying them out. But recently I tried a couple that were very good. Quiche browser (iPad) Quiche is a minimal, yet feature rich, browser built by Greg de J. The iPhone version has been out for a while, and I've been beta testing the iPad version. Both are great. Quiche lets me customize the placement of buttons in the toolbar which, being left-handed, is much appreciated. As well as deciding which tools I want in the menu. It affords all its screen to the web page. Gets out of the way, which is perfect for how I use the iPad. It has built in blockers and I can choose to use noai.duckduckgo.com as my default search engine. It also feels snappy and light. Once I set it up I've not bumped into anything to send feedback on.
