It has been a week since I wrote I’m saying goodbye to my hometown, it has also been more than a week since I moved to my new home, in a town in the province of Buenos Aires. It has been cold since. While most other countries are enjoying their summer vacations, the southern hemisphere is cozying up in their blankets and hoodies. Now I do, too. My friends told me it’s been raining non-stop since I left the Philippines. During meetings, they’ve been logging on and off from power disruptions. We (my friends and I) thought it was great that I got to fly even before the rains started. I’m thinking it’s an accumulation of all of the tears I can’t cry out from leaving my hometown. A lot has happened in a week. More than I could ever do in a week at home. My husband welcomed me with a banner, and a pizza featuring jamon crudo that I missed My husband’s nephew, let’s call him V, and my brother-in-law, let’s call him D, prepared a basket of sweets and a poster… No comments yet.
