Back to Our Usual Schedule

Today marks the day where everyone in the house is back to their regular schedule. The missus is back to work and the little one is back in school. Personally I had a bit of a head start (that is to say my vacation was slightly shorter than theirs) and I’ve been back at work for two weeks already. It feels both like more than that and much less simultaneously. Time is weird.While I certainly wouldn’t have objected to having a bit more time off from work, I’m also looking forward to us settling back in to our usual weekly routine. Time off work to relax and recover is vital, but there is something about the constraints and predictability of everyday life that I feel sparks my creativity just a bit more.Though the state of the world is less than stellar at the moment, I’m still looking forward to what latter half of 2026 might bring, and what I might be able to accomplish.
