I took some colour film with me over to PEI a couple of weeks ago to get some colourful summertime photos. It was mostly cloudy so the colours were a bit muted but still I like the results. I don’t shoot much colour so it’s a nice treat when I do. I’ve been trying to shoot less — or no — landscapes as I feel it’s a bit of a crutch for me but old habits die hard. This is the floating footbridge over Bowley Pond, part of the Greenwich Dunes Trail that came highly recommended, part of Prince Edward Island National Park. I actually rode my bike most of the way and parked at the convenient bike rack where the trail splits off and heads north to the dunes on the coast of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. There weren’t too many people out that day, just enough where I knew if I stayed patient I could get a photo with no one in it and the slightly bouncy bridge would stay still for a moment. I like the peacefulness of this scene with the sky, water, and gently curving bridge. Photograph tags:…
