Day 185: Reach for the Sun

2026-08-10Hello!Small garden, native plants, colorful, and interesting. I've got a style.In fact, I've taken photos like this in May of 2026. I'm seeing and appreciating the blooming and growing flowers this summer as well, and this one in particular stood out to me.I can't look up what kind of flower this is; none of the results are turning up something accurate, although I might be missing something. The garden was a preservation project from some historic park.The bulbs are spiky and vibrant, and I wonder what they would feel like. A few bumblebees were flying around this batch of flowers, so I didn't reach in.I did not use post processing in this image this time! I copied the image "straight out of camera" and converted it into a web-ready format. The colors look no different from raw file to what you see on the screen. There's a certain pop that gets dulled through editing, and I don't know what can bring it back. I even made a few edits to a separate copy of this image, but…
