This is a YA novel only available in Dutch. The title means something like 'out of the blue' or 'out of nowhere'. My Aline Sax completionism has failed me this time. I think this is her only non-historical title, and I really disliked it. The plot sounded mysterious: a girl wakes up at an airport, memory gone. There are only a few dozen others there and the windows are blacked out. In a meeting it's explained that the apocalypse has happened, the air is toxic and causes memory loss, and our protagonist was rescued as a rare survivor. Now the leftover people are trying to make their own little community, locked inside this airport building. The structure of the novel was not to my liking. It consists of two halves, split by a big decision the protagonist makes in the middle of the story. She's the most (unintentionally) frustrating character I've read in a long time. At first she still questions things, but later she avoids conflict, refuses information, never thinks of anyone else,…
