I am told let the chips fall where they may is an old term that came from lumberjacks.I did a little reasearch on this and for the record, I do not want to act like I knew about this beforehand.I only knew about the saying because I heard someone say, “Let the chips fall where they may!” Lumberjacks would say this they were chopping wood.The meaning for this comes from the need to focus on the task at hand. Understand?You cannot always worry about the sidelines or the distractions.You have to focus on your job and do your best.This means a lumberjack has to chop away and they cannot worry about the pieces or the chips of wood that fly from the treesThey have to let them fall where they may.
