Which Is Real? 0 ▲ Poetry Empire 1 hour ago · Writing · hide · 0 comments Which now is real? since no one edits text machines have sighted, then translated; Gs turn into Cs--we have the evidence! Which shall it be, what shall we make of it? A title shouts: “Hearing--Doing--Crowing”. You see? The race for content fails to polish, or maybe heaven’s finger’s in it, instead of “Growing” we have a pompous Pharisee, no longer on the corners of the streets, but from the pulpit, dressed in latest garb-- he’s dressing down to low denominator (tho’ still a garb)-- with nary a negative word, no dressing down to cause a man to repent-- The pretty crower wants the coffers filled. Transparent pulpit hides the love of mammon, allows the world to see the primping preacher. Worst of all, the audience loves to feel the tickled ears, to see the outward signs of raw success; hens pecking on bare ground, they cluck, cluck in pride at the rooster’s crowing. No comments yet.
