Rating: Rating: 5 out of 5. I am pretty politically naive, but as I become increasingly disillusioned with our world right now, I find myself looking for alternate pathways to a better future. My initial views of anarchy is that it is a broth of violent tear-it-down chaos that is not much better than fascism in its underpinnings. Now, as I read deeper into the topic, I find myself resonating very much with its philosophies and feel this may be our one last hope as a species to un-fuck ourselves. One book on the topic I am 3/4 of the way through is “There We Are Human Again” by Carne Ross. Mr Ross served for 15 years as a senior British diplomat before resigning in 2004 after giving secret testimony to the official Butler inquiry into the Iraq War. His disillusionment with what he viewed as an unaccountable diplomatic elite drove him to explore alternatives eventually acknowledging the essential need to adopt more anarchist principles.
