They last appeared briefly on Top of the Pops in 1989 when their song Tracie was a breaker on the 26/01/1989 edition. When did they last see the inside of the Top of the Pops studio? That would be 01/09/1988 when they performed Heaven In Your Hands and even on that occasion Mark Goodier described how they “have been away for a long time”. I don’t have much to say about Level 42, so let’s return to something I wrote about last time. The question of when did news break that Top of the Pops was to leave Television Centre for the far north, Elstree. I thought it was in the Top of the Pops…
