Photo of the Week: August 2026 Total Solar Eclipse

Despite being thousands of miles/kilometers away, thanks to NASA’s livestream, I was able to watch Europe’s total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026. Where I captured the screenshot for today’s blog post when the moon completely covered the sun in Leon, Spain. The dark circle of the moon covers the sun, with only wisps of the sun’s corona around the moon. How exciting to watch as the moon, 400 times smaller than the sun, slowly blotted out the sun.
