2026 W33: Melancholic falsetto

§ Hello § At work I spent some time experimenting with a low-pressure sodium vapor lamp. It emits a very narrow spectrum of light that makes everything look monochromatic. It took three attempts but I finally managed to order one that didn’t arrive shattered in transit. I also continued my previous experiments with 2D anamorphic art and built a quick three-dimensional example of a similar principle. § Using some extra plywood I CNC-milled a custom play gym for the baby. It is super simple but I am happy with the way it came out—I probably spent more time sanding it than designing and machining it combined. § I’ve been listening to a lot of Talos this week, especially his collaborations with the composer Ólafur Arnalds. Think intricately-produced orchestral electronic music with melancholic falsetto vocals. Kind of like an Irish James Blake. Highly recommended. § On Friday Caroline and I watched a friend perform in a live outdoor rendition of Macbeth. Neither of us are theater people…
