Day 184: Tiny Wooden Canyon

2026-08-09Hello! I must have underestimated the amount of photos from that photowalk in the woods. When I'm used to the grays and greens of a controlled living space, any bits of organic color from the wild pop out to me.I also must have underestimated the amount of photos taken with this wide-angle lens. The look of distortion around the edges gets old quick, but it was fun at the time of capture!Now, I don't dedicate myself to macro photography, but I do pay attention to the details and textures of small organics in the wild anyway. The vibrant orange of this wood can look like a canyon up close.Lots of things can impacts trails like these. For one, human activity (stepping on grass kills them quick — "grow by the inch, die by the foot"). Water erosion must affect the lands here; the light rains in this area would do a lot to change the terrain over time. Then there's wind and the insects.Finally, the marketing behind The Odyssey (2026 film) has done so well that even its novelty…
