And since I not only didn’t have time to finish a post for this morning1 but also haven’t released any (new) fiction of my own devising since last summer’s Battle of the Sexes, Title IX: No Hope, this seemed like as good an opportunity as any to finally release it. The Quest for Mittens Once upon a time, there were three little witches who lost their mittens, so they began to cry: “Oh, mother dear, we sadly fear, bubble, bubble, toil, and trouble, our mittens we have lost.” And so they went out into the woods to find them. They never found their mittens, though, and feeling too proud to go home empty-handed, decided to build homes for themselves in the woods, so that they could seek their fortunes, especially to buy yarn and hire somebody to knit new mittens.
