This clip of “The Newsroom” popped up in my YouTube feed. I’ve only seen bits and pieces of the series, which is surprising since I’m usually a Sorkin fan. However, the series came out when I was pissed at cable and satellite TV and we were going on over-the-air signals at the time, so that’s probably why we didn’t watch it. I may buy it on DVD if I see it out and about. This particular clip struck a chord with me, because as a guy that spends a lot of time studying weather, both as a storm chaser and a private pilot, as well as just a dork, the weather today is different than the weather just a little over 10 years ago when I started becoming a private pilot. I also have an excellent memory and have always had a propensity of jotting down numbers in random locations, like what the weather was on a sunny day in August back in 1984. The weather is changing.
