The Charlatans on The White Room

If YouTube could produce a top 10 list of videos I've watched over the years, then I dare say that The Charlatans blistering appearance on Channel 4's The White Room, broadcast on 16th August 1996, would be up at the top. Just behind the last few minutes of Manchester United's dramatic Champions League win back in 1999!I can't believe this footage (full video at the end of the blog) is thirty years old! The Charlatans performance is pure raw energy and emotion. Super charged from the grief of losing Rob Collins. Elated from playing Knebworth.
