We went out to see a friend’s band last night, and I think it’s official, barring road gigs that must be seen—and you really do have to watch out with some of these older bands. Tracks, original member count, the ability to sing, stuff like that. It’s always a bit of a crapshoot, really. But--the point is that I don’t like being in the crowd. Yes, it’s good to see people, but a lot of these people are the same people that come to see Buckdancer, and it’s just weird positioning for me. This particular band, you know, three out of six are in the Buckdancer band, and they kind of play fun sing-along hits, which is great. The crowd loves it, all that good stuff. Super fun. But at this point, if I’m gonna be out, and it’s not one of those roadshows, that’s either checking in with somebody super risky, like a Bob Dylan show (which really paid off, by the way), or straight nostalgia trip.
