The Beach in Eastern Passage 0 ▲ Jeff MacKinnon's Homepage 1 day ago · Life · hide · 0 comments We took a drive over to Eastern Passage this afternoon to have a snack, throw some rocks in the ocean and check out some sea birds. Something that's interesting 1 is that there is a golf course on the other side of the road, and you can hear when someone makes a shot that they aren't really happy with. It was also my first time out with my new lens. When I was here years ago in 2021 there were these tiny birds that I couldn't quite get the shot. I later bought a 100-400mm that helped a lot, but the last time when we were to check out the puffins I found that the reach just wasn't quite there. So I started looking around for options. A new lens I ended up buying a 200-800mm and today was the first day out in the wild giving it a try. The first thing that I notice is that its huge and heavy. But other than that it is also really hard to track moving birds. I ended up with a lot of little bird buts I'm pretty sure that I'm going to like it.
