writing non-fiction

Repurposed Grocery Store - Miami, Arizona It is difficult to be honest in my writing. I am not referring to creative liberties and mild exaggerations. I assume all writers are guilty of this from time to time. It is part of the storytelling process. When I share my writing, I want it to provide the reader with a glimpse into my world. To accurately express my thoughts. Not, what I think others want to hear. I want to be "real." I want to write about what is important to me. Nature. Kindness. Family. Faith. Little things I notice. Thoughts from my #squirrel brain. 🐿️ Fishing. 🎣 Sometimes, I find myself hesitant to share for fear of what others may think. If I share about an aspect of my faith, will others feel excluded? Will I be dismissed as superficial or frivolous if I write about radishes (or other random ideas)? Will this post get "toasts," or will the response be tepid? Meh. I could say that I don't care what others think about my writing. But, that would be fiction. I do care.…
