Another Post About AI (this time with a twist) 0 ▲ Explicating Elle 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments This morning while I laid in bed relaxing on my day off, I opened up my RSS feed app to play catch-up after having not read anything in almost a month. There was a lot, and I skimmed or skipped most of it (which tells me I need to thin out my feed a bit), but I saw an interesting couple of posts about AI and people's relationships with fictional AI "characters" changing because of what's happening in tech right now with "AI". Diel at Diel's daydreams wrote about common AI tropes in fiction and how their perspective of the villain characters in media such as the game Detroit: Become Human has become more sympathetic because of how Diel thinks of AI nowadays. Cherry at Cherry's room responded to Diel's post, and talked about their change from thinking about fictional AIs as characters to thinking about them as objects. Both posts kind of hit me because this past week I'd been thinking about the same thing, about how my opposition to AI has changed my perspective on fictional AI… No comments yet.
