Pi-hole: Saving my network and privacy

Finally got Pi-hole running in front of my network and good lord it’s wild/frustrating to see all the garbage traffic 2026 devices and software send. Will need to tweak over time, but right now over the first 12 hours 17% of traffic being blocked as garbage. Particularly problematic are, of course, IoT devices. I have them on a separate network and had intended to block liberally but never got around to it. Pi-hole confirms how much they phone home, with Aqara cameras so far being one of the worst offenders.
