An end of week recap “The world is full of great and wonderful things for those who are ready for them .” – Tove Jansson (Moominpappa at Sea, 1965) There seems to be little stirring in bookish circles this weekend, however, today brings Indian Independence Day, World Honey Bee Day and, in Canada, National Acadian Day. Tomorrow the USA marks National Independent Worker Day, while we Brits indulge in Afternoon Tea Week until 16th August. Most importantly, of course, here at Book Jotter we remain in the thick of Tove Jansson & Moomin Month – and will continue to honour them (even more than usual) until the end of August.
