Success can be a tricky thing for comedy companies.Once you’ve discovered a formula that works, the challenge becomes deciding whether to reinvent it or simply keep refining it. Police Cops have spent years perfecting a distinctive blend of action-movie parody, physical theatre and committed silliness, and Police Cops in Space is very much another entry in that lineage. This time the company leave terrestrial crime fighting behind and launch themselves into science fiction, complete with spaceships, evil robots, galactic conspiracies and enough 80s-inspired blockbuster energy to fuel an entire solar system.If this is your first Police Cops show, add another star immediately. The combination of physical comedy, cinematic storytelling and theatrical ingenuity remains enormously entertaining.
