When the missus is out of the house for a few days, I sometimes get the good ol' Wii out of storage and hook it up to the TV in the living room. My wife dislikes the mess it creates, and actually, so do I. But every once in a while I like to relive my bachelor days and I do that by playing Need for Speed (my bachelor days were truly pathetic) for maybe 15 minutes per session and 3 or 4 sessions per day. Trying to finish the game before she gets home again. Over the past 20 years I've played the game many times, and by now I have the order of the songs memorized -- as a software developer, it surprises me that they aren't shuffled and played in random order. I looked up most of the songs on YouTube. What struck me is how they are all rather wimpy and limp-y; each really needs the roar of engines and the screeching of tires to make them sound cool. And I think it's funny that in a game that revolves around illegal street racing, the only song on the soundtrack that has a bit of balls is…
