A toast is a mini-speech, a postcard version of a letter, a starter option of a full meal—but smaller doesn’t have to mean less impactful or even lack the structure needed to tell great stories which resonate. It’s hard to offer something new in a well-trodden medium although Bella Freud and her Fashion Neurosis video podcast does just that—each high-profile guest lays on the couch and stares into the intimately positioned camera above whilst conversing / prompted by the dulcet and warm tones of their host (the great-granddaughter of Sigmund Freud).
