MIA MIA is a small coffee shop in Kuramae. Its specialty seems to be in being a place where you are guaranteed to have a friendly chat, whether with one of the baristas or one of the other customers around you. So it’s a great place to hang out if you are in need of some social interaction. MIA MIA is owned by an Australian named Vaughan and so there’s also some Aussie paraphernalia scattered around the store. As well as espresso-based coffees, they also serve Australian meat pies and Anzac biscuits. Anzac biscuit, 660 yen They are quite cutely heart-shaped! And there's an ice cream sandwich version as well - 1200 yen As an Australian I will have to be a bit critical and say I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the biscuits - but maybe I’m spoiled by all the yummy Anzac biscuits I got to have growing up in Australia.
