Enshittification Comes to Amazon Emails

I hate Amazon. Let me start off there. I avoid buying from there as much as possible, but getting to zero items purchased is tough. Case in point was when I needed some new USB-C to USB-C cables. For whatever reason, the cables I wanted from Anker are only sold in a 2-pack via Amazon. I wasn't able to find the same quantity / price from Anker directly and so I hit Buy Now on Amazon. Then the order confirmation came in. The subject said "Ordered: 2 Electronic Items" and gave no details except the total price and a shipping estimate. It got me so heated, I posted about it on LinkedIn (I like stirring the pot there, especially with my anti-a.i. stance). Enshittification comes to Amazon order emails. Apple's email client will read order confirmations and add auto-package tracking into Wallet. Pretty handy. Except Amazon would rather tell you NOTHING about your order than let Apple scan the email ON DEVICE and let you track it on your phone.So instead of showing me what I ordered, the…
