For the entirety of Cocoa's life, people constantly misspelled her name when referring to her, even if 98% of the time the spelling was literally RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR FACES. It has always bothered me, and there was a 50/50 chance on whether or not I corrected people. It all depended on the situation. There were times I just didn't bother because I just didn't have the energy to do so. Picking my battles and all that. Grief changes a person. In some ways, it shortens their fuse. Or maybe it’s that I now just have little patience for a lot of things. I wasn't patient before, but now I’m even less patient. Anyways. We recently made our announcements on social media about Cocoa’s passing. This was something I dreaded having to do, which is why it took us 22 days to finally say it publicly.
