onwards

Road trip has begun. Got an oat milk latte from A&W. In the back seat of the car. Stuffed in with the luggage, some dress shirts, a portable tub my grandma would have baths in later in life that is being brought to act as a beer tub for my brother’s wedding. My dad’s driving. I’m a bit worried; he kind of jerks the steering wheel when we drive. It can make me car sick. So far so good though. A bit of rain entering the mountains now. I saw my cousin and her husband and their baby the day before yesterday. My other cousin and his girlfriend were there. A short visit but a nice visit. I guess this rain is good for the forest fires; you would think. Fell asleep. Now I’m back. Winding road. Old things I haven’t seen in awhile. Lots for sale. Wonder if they sold. Wonder if it’s been foretold. Green again. Just for now. Snow and winter will be here soon.
