Day 182: Sanctuary in Progress

2026-08-07Hello!Near the entrance of the woods, the keepers put up signs of a wildflower garden under construction, for native plants and animals. It's a small thing, but local efforts like these warm my heart a little.Last time I was here, I had my wired earbuds in and I was listening to music downloaded on my phone. This time, I kept my ears open to the sounds of wildlife. I heard woodpeckers and owls, but couldn't identify them by sight. Also, my wired earbuds don't connect to my phone anymore... that's a shame, since I used to use them on long bus or transport rides.Now, I bring my computer and connect directly to the headphone jack for wired audio. Or I listen to the sounds around me and be a functioning member of society.Finally, explosive dogs. I give no explanation. I have none. Thank you for visiting this blog!
