Still thinking about all those who are facing fires, smoke, drought, floods, and all other forms of challenges.Here are my photo choices for today:It’s hot this week!The young orioles don’t seem to mind the heat. It’s so fun to watch the kids chase each other around.Speaking of kids that do a lot of chasing, this young male hummingbird had to find some rest while he sipped nectar so he was ready to chase again.It always seems to me that yellow is the color of August.Focus is overrated.Halloween pennants are one of my favorite dragonflies! They are so colorful!Widow skimmers are really abundant around the fields.Unsurprisingly, given their name, the eastern pondhawks are very plentiful around the water.Bees love the button bush!Stealth aircraft or mockingbird - you be the judge.The guy on the mower told me this…
