This is available is many languages, except for English it seems! The title means 'the cat without a name'. I've been learning Japanese for a while, but actually reading something is different than learning words and grammar separately. Because I'd love to be able to read fluently one day (in the far, far future), I'm trying to push myself a little to practice more with reading material. Most works are still too difficult for me, so children's books it is! This book was so very sweet, and I think enjoyable at any age. The story is about a nameless stray cat looking for a sense of belonging, while meeting a variety of cats who do already have a name and a home. The ending is a tearjerker, in a positive way. The images are detailed, full-page paintings of all of the cats. They're so pretty! Very pleasing to look at. A definite recommend from me if you're looking for a children's book in any language but English, haha. The Japanese was a little bit difficult in places, but still doable.…
