My family was able to see it, and of course I donβt remember what happened, but theyβve told me stories about how the animals became confused, chickens went back to their coops, and birds looked for nearby trees to sleep. It was the astronomical event of the century. In my town, there were almost five minutes of darkness around midday. It must have been amazing, and people talked about it for decades. That was one of the reasons I became interested in space as a kid. When I was in school, I did some research about solar eclipses: how they happen and the different types. I found the topic really interesting. Thatβs when I discovered there would be one in Spain on my birthday π, August 12, 2026, so I had plenty of time to plan for it. Years passed, and by a strange coincidence, I ended up living in Spain just in time for that date. So the plan became much easier. I just had to find a place inside the path ofβ¦ No comments yet.
