Simplicity.

ThinkPad T460s opened up to a terminal screen I’m writing this blog entry on my reconfigured (again) Lenovo ThinkPad T460s. I decided this laptop needs to be more focused as my ‘focus computer’, and I have configured it to use only a command line in Debian Linux 13 (Trixie). For the curious ones, I’m running Cage + Kitty as the main interface for this laptop. For the non-geek type, I’m running Linux in a terminal environment, much like the days when folks worked from a DOS prompt. I revel in the simplicity. I have several tools installed on this laptop to make this approach work for me, including using the WordPress API to publish my posts directly from the command line. I use the text editor vim (not neovim, but vim itself) to write. I have a couple of plug-ins in place to give it a slightly more robust feel when it comes to plain text processing.
