This time around it’s a percentile system special, with two releases for Call of Cthulhu (one regular and one Cthulhu By Gaslight-flavoured), and one for Imperium Maledictum. Campfire Tales (Call of Cthulhu) This is a little project by Joshua Hoyt, Matt Ryan, and Paul Fricker, offering up an alternative concept for playing Call of Cthulhu in which instead of being adults, the player characters are members of either the Scouts or some similar youth organisation (like the Woodcraft Folk or whatever) who have run-ins with the Mythos. Although conceptually suited to any time period after Baden-Powell’s founding of the Boy Scouts, it seems particularly well-suited to the first half or so of the 20th Century. In particular, by the time you hit the 1980s you’re coming into the peak era of the whole “kids on bikes” thing that Stranger Things riffed on, a rather different model, whereas the scouting… No comments yet.
