Note regarding jae.fi

I registered jae.fi on the 14th of February 2021, right after I learned that the company for which I originally moved to Finland to join decided to hire me. At the time, I thought it would be a nice-to-have to get something with my name and the local TLD to blend in a bit. I originally registered it with OVH, then moved it to Gandi when OVH appeared not to recognise Finland as a country, then finally to INWX when Gandi raised prices. Lately, INWX has seen a huge price hike, asking me for around 60CHF (~64EUR at current change rate) to renew the domain for one year. Well, after over half a decade of operation, I finally have some exciting update: jae.fi is now independent. What does that mean? That price hike led me to naturally complain about having to find a new registrar in my local radio club chat, where someone mentioned that you can be your own registrar for the fi. zone.
