Another Bit Of Misfortune

(click to enlarge)I’ve always heard that bad luck comes in threes. My first recent experience was my Lightroom Classic catalog mysteriously becoming corrupted. After some persistence, I was able to use a backup catalog to restore things back to normal. You can read about that here.A few days later I discovered that a large number of my image files on the external hard drive on which I keep all my image files became corrupt in the fact that the files no longer contained any information! They had 0 bytes of data. After two days and a lot of troubleshooting to figure out what happened, how it could have happened, how extensive the loss of files was and then replacing the corrupt files (1318 in about 50 different folders) with identical files from an old backup hard drive, I was able to get through that.
