Just a short one today because I had an anxiety attack that forced me stand into a cold shower. I'm fine now, but I seem to have acquired a food allergy/intolerance I didn't have two weeks ago. It's either that or a xenomorph newborn is going to pop out of me sometime soon, which I think I'd be okay with because we've been thinking about getting a pet. We have long discussed getting a pet because we both like cats and dogs, but while my partner grew up with a cat and a dog, I did not, because I am somewhat allergic to both cats and dogs, and, moreover, my mother, who grew up with dogs, said she was allergic to dogs, and said that's why we never got one. That's not the reason. The reason is that it literally never came up when we were growing up. We didn't want one, so we didn't get one. My mom has retconned this for some reason. She does this with fish as well. Like many, my mother does not like the smell or taste of fish, and so as a result we didn't eat a lot of fish growing up.…
