Is it possible to be in awe and have no idea to what extent until you look back? I think this is what I feel now, looking back on the solar eclipse that happened an hour and a half ago or so.“Isn’t it amazing that this happens?”, I said to everyone who joined this evening’s Homebrew Website Club Europe meetup online, whose start coincided with the solar eclipse. I didn't have solar eclipse glasses, but I decided to do the next best thing to experience the eclipse: watch the stream from the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, and share the feed with everyone as we started the call. For the first ten minutes, we chatted and watched as the moon started to eclipse the sun.I worked on an "eclipse" theme for my website quickly during the call: I turned the background colour of my home page to #000000. In a way, my site felt the solar eclipse with me.I am not sure the extent to which the solar eclipse was visible here given the cloud cover, but the room definitely did get darker. I didn’t get up…
