Apple Notes Is Disappointing Me (Or Perhaps It's iCloud?) 0 ▲ This Is My Last 3 hours ago · Tech · hide · 0 comments I have decided to use Apple Notes to log stuff in my life, with the promise from Apple that, firstly Apple Notes sync across my iPhone and my Mac, and secondly, I can manipulate notes using Shortcuts. I've created a new Shortcut on my iPhone that asks for a line of text input, and the Shortcut will then append the current timestamp and that line of text into an existing note. This is working fine, as far as I can tell, on my iPhone. However, every night, when I reach home and open up the Notes app on my Mac, I discover that sometimes, the last line of the note is missing on my Mac. I'll have the timestamp, but no text that follows. Sigh. I don't often have issues with iCloud syncing, but this reminds me that it is still not perfect. (And now I am looking for other ways to quickly enter and sync my logs. Maybe I'll try the Journal app.) No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
